From Prototype to More Than 5,000 Motors
An outdoor fitness equipment manufacturer needed a motor solution capable of operating under demanding conditions.
Bondy was involved from the start, supporting development through prototyping, pilot production and field testing to series production. More than 5,000 units have since been manufactured and supplied for equipment used worldwide.
Challenge
The motor solution needed to suit outdoor use and be ready for series production. Its performance had to be tested under actual operating conditions before production could be scaled up.
Solution
Bondy provided technical advice, development, drawings, moulds and documentation. Prototypes formed the basis for a pilot series, which underwent technical testing and field trials under the equipment’s intended operating conditions. Test data supported approval and the transition to series production.
Result
Bondy has manufactured and supplied more than 5,000 motors for the customer’s equipment. The customer gained a coordinated process covering development, prototyping, testing and production.
The collaboration enabled the project to progress from a single prototype to several thousand supplied units, with the same technical partner throughout.
