From Prototype to More Than 3,000 Motors for Patient Handling
A manufacturer of patient transfer and handling equipment needed a motor solution for its products. Bondy supported the project from initial development through prototyping, pilot production and field testing to series production. The collaboration has resulted in more than 3,000 motors manufactured and supplied for equipment used worldwide.
Challenge
The motor solution needed to be developed for the specific application and taken from prototype to series production. Technical testing and field trials were required to support approval of the design.
Solution
Bondy provided technical advice, development, drawings, moulds and documentation. Following the prototype stage, a pilot series was manufactured and underwent technical testing and field trials. Test data supported the approval process before the solution was transferred to series production.
Result
Bondy has manufactured and supplied more than 3,000 motors. The customer gained a technical partner able to support the solution from development to supply in larger volumes.
